Sign up for an exciting afternoon learning how to fill and fry your own sambuus and share your experiences with student debt. We can't think about a responsible recovery without working together to understand what this means for students and their escalating debt and interest. Policy and baking, what could be better?
A sambuus also known as a samosa is a fried or baked pastry with a savory filling, such as beef, chicken, potatoes, or even lentils! Across the world, these may take on different forms, but traditional sambuus from Somalia are usually filled with some kind of meat and form a triangular shape.
Sign up today and you’ll receive an ingredient and shopping list for baking alongside Hawa. We’ll include both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options in the instructions.
Please note, this is a fundraiser for Hawa’s election readiness in York South—Weston. Even if you cannot donate, I hope you’ll come! Sign up here for free tickets and if you'd like to make a donation click here!
